Sensor kits and bespoke builds for interactive brand activations.

Most interactive activations need custom engineering, weeks of setup, and big budgets. Glom Labs changes that.

Rent our spatial interaction kit, which ships pre-configured and ready to plug in. Or work with us on a bespoke environmental build when the brief calls for something next level.

Built for creative teams,
not engineers.

01

Shareable

Every activation is built around a single dramatic moment: something so surprising, so physical, that guests reach for their phones before you ask. The content earns itself.

02

Simple

Walk on site, plug in, and you're running. Wireless sensors peel-and-stick onto any surface, so there are no cables to hide and nothing to configure.

03

Scalable

Add sensors or outputs to match your footprint and ideas. Mix sensor types to build choreographed, multi-step interaction chains.

04

Accessible

Pre-built modules deliver real interactivity at a fraction of a custom tech build, without compromising the audience experience.

05

Reliable

Every kit ships pre-tested. We're here to help from the first planning meeting through event day, and the software is updated between every rental.

Ships pre-loaded with software and plugs into your AV setup.

1

Sensor

Peel-and-stick onto most surfaces, including fabric, wood, and acrylic. No wiring or mounting brackets spoiling your design.

2

Hub

Pre-loaded with your custom interaction logic before it ships. On site, plug it into power. Every trigger and output chain is already waiting.

3

Cable(s)

We coordinate with your AV vendor in advance and ship the right connectors. In most cases, we'll only need an ethernet cable.

4

AV System (Agency Vendor)

Your AV team keeps full creative control. Sensor triggers arrive on their console like any other input. They map it to lighting, fog, audio, or whatever effects they're running.

5

Mobile Dashboard

Check that everything's running from your phone with a status dashboard.

Our sensors

Approach

Detects movement and presence at close range. Triggers a response the moment someone steps up to a display.

Approach sensor module

Distance

Laser-measures exact distance up to 2m. Use as a touchless slider for volume, light intensity, or any variable output. Requires a 3mm hole in your surface.

Distance sensor module

Touch

Senses touch through wood, fabric, or a product casing. No visible hardware on the outside of your build.

Touch sensor module

Movement

Triggers when an object is lifted, tilted, or moved. The object becomes the trigger, with no visible hardware.

Movement sensor module

Gesture

Reads hand movements: raise, lower, or swipe to trigger or adjust outputs in real time.

Gesture sensor module

RFID

Reads or writes to NFC tags on tap. Each tag can fire a unique response, or collect information on what the user has interacted with.

RFID sensor module

Audio

Listens for sounds or spoken keywords, which can become a trigger.

Audio sensor module

Edge AI EARLY ACCESS

Detects people, expressions, and poses via camera. All processing runs locally on the hub. No data leaves the room.

Biometrics EARLY ACCESS

Measures breathing rate, heart rate, skin conductance, and other performance metrics.

Be the first to use our Edge AI and Biometrics sensors.

How the rental works

How do I actually get the kit?

We ship it directly to you, at least 2 weeks before the live date so you can test it. It arrives pre-configured for your activation and ready to plug in,. Return shipping is included.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Four weeks is ideal: enough time to configure the kit and coordinate with your AV vendor. For complex activations, six to eight weeks is better. Get in touch and we'll confirm what's possible.

What if something goes wrong on event day?

We'll run a setup call with you on install day, and we'll be remotely monitoring both the hardware and software with a dedicated real-time status page (which you'll also have access to). As an add-on, we can also be on call throughout the event.

Do I need a technical person on-site?

For most activations, no. Your AV team connects it using our documentation, which is written for non-technical crews. Physical on-site support from Glom Labs is available as an add-on.

What AV equipment do I need on my end?

Most standard event AV setups are compatible. We typically connect via ethernet (OSC), or directly to simple equipment setups with DMX/ AUX/ XLR. We confirm everything with your AV vendor during production, so event day has no surprises.

Where do you ship?

Currently the US and Hong Kong, with international shipping available on request. Get in touch with your location and we'll confirm availability.

We're taking on early access partners.

We have a limited number of project slots.

Bespoke experiential
environments.

For brands and agencies with bigger briefs, we design and consult on complete experiential environments — spatial design, creative technology, and interactive systems. If you already have a production team, we can slot in as creative technologist or spatial designer and work alongside them.

Two types of custom project

01

Custom Pop-Ups

0–3 months · Built for a moment

Events, festival activations, museum exhibitions, product launches, retail takeovers. We lead concept, spatial design, and interactive technology. Physical build is coordinated directly with a local fabrication partner — giving you one creative point of contact for the whole project.

  • Audience journey and experience design
  • Environmental concept and spatial design
  • Interactive technology and sensor integration
  • Fabrication coordination with a local build partner
  • Branded signage and consumables design
  • On-site support for installation and launch
02

Permanent Spaces

3–6 months · Built to last

Retail flagships, brand headquarters, showrooms, and experiential venues. Longer engagements with deeper design development, including architecture, material specification, and technology systems that are built to stay.

  • Full spatial and environmental design
  • Architecture and floor plan development
  • Material, furniture, and fixture specification
  • Permanent interactive technology integration
  • Fabrication coordination with a local build partner
  • Signage, brand expression, and staff identity design

Our custom process

01

Discovery

A 60-minute call to go deep on the brief, map the experience, and align on timeline and budget.

02

Concept

We lead or assist your team with spatial design and technology development, including environmental concept, audience journey, renders, floor plans, and interaction blueprint.

03

Build

For physical build, we bring in a trusted local fabricator and manage that relationship directly, so you have one point of contact throughout.

04

Live

On-site support for installation and launch. Permanent builds include a handover session so your team can manage it independently.

Every custom project starts with a conversation.

Tell us what you're building. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.

We built the kit we always wished existed.

Grace spent years as a Senior Creative Technologist at a US experiential agency, building interactive installations for clients like Sephora, Nike, and Chase. The same problem kept coming up: a bold idea, a tight timeline, and no infrastructure that could bridge the two without a full engineering build. Glom Labs is the answer — built with her brother Samuel, a software engineer and robotics specialist. Everything is designed around how agency projects actually work: fast timelines, real budget constraints, and an event day when everything just has to work.
